Some of our smallest parts in PEEK. .020" diameter with a .012" hole, .100" long
Samples of micro machined components
Manifolds require intersecting holes with no burrs or debris.
Specialized drills plus machining complete whenever possible produces a consistent part.

Compression molded PEEK billets are tough on tools. Plastic compatible coolant with diamond tooling gets the finish needed.

Does this plastic PEEK part look see-through? It does because it nearly is not there. .0008" +/- .0001 wall thickness for a medical device in PEEK Optima makes this one of our toughest parts yet. Implant application. A good example how PEP Connecticut Plastics leads the industry in plastic turning.
PEEK is a semicrystalline thermoplastic with excellent mechanical and chemical resistance properties that are retained to high temperatures. This is a precision machined PEEK plastic manifold with drilled holes, threaded so that tubing can be added.
PEEK manifold with threaded holes. An engineering plastic, polyether ether ketone, more commonly called PEEK is used in many applications where resistance to chemicals and exposure to high temperatures is critical.
PEEK is the performance material of choice for aggressive environments such as high temperatures, wet processes, and heavy loads. It combines exceptional wear, chemical and moisture resistance with very high strength, dimensional stability and stiffness. PEEK can be continuously exposed to hot water or steam with no distortion, corrosion or galling.
Unreinforced PEEK is a general purpose material noted for its high elongation and toughness. Glass fiber-reinforced PEEK offers increased strength, stiffness and stability at high temperatures, while carbon fiber-reinforced PEEK gives designers the benefit of excellent compression strength and stiffness and reduced expansion rates. PEEK is easily machined to precise tolerances.
